Simulated ancillary services pool provider in sandbox
We can now simulate an ancillary services pool provider’s bidding and results systems in the sandbox. This lets you test your end-to-end ancillary workflow — submitting FCR and aFRR bids and receiving realistic capacity and energy results — without everything being accepted or rejected immediately. Please get in touch if you would like this enabled on your virtual assets in sandbox.
Sorting and filtering on the audit events view
The Logs view for virtual assets now supports server-side pagination and sorting, making it easier to work through a busy event history. You can page through events and sort by fields such as created time, type, trace ID, and user. The underlying events endpoint now accepts page, limit, sortBy, and sortOrder query parameters alongside the existing types, start, and end filters.
Improvements
offeredCapacity replaces powerCapacity on ancillary bids
The powerCapacity field on ancillary bids has been renamed to offeredCapacity across the FCR and aFRR bid endpoints, in both requests and responses. The new name better reflects that the value is the capacity you are offering into the market. The old powerCapacity alias continues to work for now, so existing integrations will not break — but we encourage you to update any integration that reads or sets powerCapacity on a bid to use offeredCapacity.
More accurate tracing of bid unavailabilities
For virtual assets with fixed ancillary service commitments, unavailabilities are now tracked at the individual bid level. This gives more accurate tracing of which ancillary commitments are affected when an unavailability occurs, and a more precise reduction of the remaining ancillary capacity for the asset.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue in the energy freezing system that could produce schedule adjustments which were infeasible. When available energy capacity decreased, frozen energy could be applied in a way that led to schedules the asset could not physically achieve. Energy freezing has been reworked so these adjustments remain feasible.
