Ancillary Services — We have released the new data categories against the virtual assets operational endpoint (
/organisations/{organisationID}/virtual-assets/{virtualAssetID}/operational):

These timeseries separate out explicitly the activations received by ancillary services assets in the positive (discharge) and negative (charge) directions, allowing for significantly simpler estimation of revenues.

Cycling Validation — Released validation logic that imposes daily cycle limits on assets.

Ramp Rates — We are seeing DSOs across the BESS market introduce slower ramp-rate requirements for new assets. In response, we are moving away from rampless virtual assets. This will be a gradual transition, not an immediate one. Users will be able to continue operating rampless virtual assets for the foreseeable future, but our support for that approach will reduce over time. From 21st May 2026, ramp-rated virtual assets will be the default.
