> End-to-end automation for besicherung, implicit aFRR energy bids in unavailabilities, and boundary powers on the physical asset operational endpoint.

### New features

**End-to-end automation for besicherung**

As part of the [new unavailability system](https://docs.trlyr.com/changelog/2026/october/october-16.md), besicherung (backup capacity from our ancillary pool provider) is now invoked automatically, end to end, when an unavailability affects your virtual assets. This keeps our view of your virtual assets' availability consistent with the pool provider's.

**Implicit aFRR energy bids in unavailabilities**

An aFRR capacity bid carries an implicit energy bid. When an unavailability causes a capacity bid to be adjusted, cancelled, or made unavailable, the same change now also applies to its implicit energy bid. This works consistently across physical assets and the virtual assets built on top of them.

If you would like the new unavailability system turned on for your virtual assets in sandbox, please get in touch at [support@trlyr.com](mailto:support@trlyr.com).

**Boundary powers on the physical asset operational endpoint**

You can now read the boundary powers of a physical asset through the operational data endpoint. Request the `elbowPower` category to get every boundary power in your requested window as a sparse timeseries. This builds on the [wider connection specification support](https://docs.trlyr.com/changelog/2026/october/october-16.md) added on October 16 and helps with FCA readiness.

### Improvements

**Ancillary unavailability reconciliation across virtual assets**

We have improved how ancillary unavailabilities are distributed across virtual assets:

* A virtual asset's FCR and aFRR unavailable volume is now topped up when it would otherwise leave more FCR or aFRR available than its maximum total ancillary capacity (minus the FCR regulatory buffer) allows.
* Any ancillary unavailability at portfolio level that is not yet covered by the virtual assets' own unavailabilities is now shared across them, in proportion to each asset's rated maximum total ancillary capacity.

**Dispatch safeguards for external restrictions and state of energy boundaries**

External restrictions (e.g. FCA constraints) and state of energy boundaries are now applied as a safeguard at dispatch of physical assets.

**More accurate flexibility with external restrictions**

External restrictions (e.g. FCA constraints) now cap the setpoint an asset ramps to, rather than the schedule itself. The calculation of available flexibility for physical assets now uses each asset's internal ramping model instead of relying on ramping heuristics.

**Set your name on the Account page**

You can now edit your first and last name on the **Account** page in the webapp. The page is split into **Name** and **Sign in** sections.

**More reliable webapp updates**

The webapp now caches assets at runtime and retries any asset that fails to load. When a new version is released, the webapp reloads on your next navigation so you always pick up the latest version.

### Bug fixes

* Bid unavailabilities now work correctly for physical assets with aFRR in both directions.
* Fixed the rollback that restores an asset's previous bids when a bid submission fails before reaching the pool provider.
* Listing the virtual assets in an organisation no longer fails with a `500` error if one of them is deleted while the list is loading. The deleted asset is omitted from the response.
